What ‘s the first thing you should do after you wake up?

My Instagram

Waking up early can be a daunting task, especially when you first attempt it, nevertheless, the experience you get from waking up early and kicking things off early is totally worth. I was lucky enough because my mom used to wake me up early since I was a kid, I hated it then but not anymore, I’m way more excited to wake up early and get things going.

I’m not going to talk about how to wake up early, because this post would end right here with these three words “Just Do It!”(-_-) . So instead let’s talk about where you should spend your energy when you wake up and no I’m not talking about your chores and all, Obviously (-_-), Anyway Let’s Begin -

  1. Drink Water — After 6–8 hours of sleep your body is dehydrated, Drinking water upon waking helps increase the flow of oxygen, and aids in the production of muscle and blood cells. For more facts and habits like this one use Fabulous App it’s really awesome, go ahead and give it a try.
  2. Meditate — It may sound lame for some, but meditating for even 15 minutes and I mean seriously meditating will really help you clear your mind and this doesn’t happen within a single try, you should keep doing it and you will know the results, for beginners I would suggest start with 5 minutes daily, and I would also recommend Insight Timer and Headspace App
  3. Work — No I didn’t mean workout or exercise or go for a run, No I disagree with this one with most people. Your mind is fresh and creative when you first wake up so, don’t waste this precious energy on working out, unless it’s your end goal. 5–8 is the golden hour and you should utilize this time on working towards your goals or maybe even do some creative work, Whether you’re writing a book, formulating a business plan, reworking t-shirt designs or building your website, you will feel much more accomplished knowing you made real progress towards your goals before the day has really even begun. By the time you show up to your day job, you will feel way ahead of the game and be inspired to tackle the day. Let me give a reference to myself, I wake up at 4:30 AM and after the above 2 tasks this is the very next thing what I do is work on BKY and PM(my startup’s), I take out my book and start scribbling some new ideas or some solutions for the current problem and most of the time I come up with some cool solutions and because of that I dedicate the beginning hours of the day to problem-solving, this usually takes about 1–2 hours and next I plan on this blog, what should be the topic and what all to write and make an outline, and if this happens super fast I end up reading some blogs or a book and that’s it, I stop it here.
  4. Workout —To keep your mind working, you need your body to be healthy and thus workout, it can be anything taking a long walk, going for a run, going to the gym or the best cycling, just pick up anything and start working out, I personally prefer cycling and on some weird days I go for a run and it really freshes you up and the energy that you get is amazing and yeah this the last on my list of things to do after you wake up.

So, Bharat why wake up so early, you can do these above things even after waking up at 6 or 7 or even 10? What’s your point? (-_-)

There is something wildly inspiring about waking up with the sun.

Why not? I mean

“Lose an hour in the morning, and you will be all day hunting for it.”

“The difference between rising at five and seven o’clock in the morning, for forty years, supposing a man to go to bed at the same hour at night, is nearly equivalent to the addition of ten years to a man’s life.”

“Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn’t matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle… when the sun comes up, you’d better be running.”

“I never knew a man come to greatness or eminence who lay abed late in the morning.”

“Morning is an important time of day because how you spend your morning can often tell you what kind of day you are going to have.”

Who is going to text you at 5 AM? Or even at 6 AM? No one. Not your boss, your girlfriend, your best friend, your mom — nobody. Why? Because everyone else is sleeping. And you have a distraction-free environment where you can focus on your goals and get the difficult task done first and giving you a sense of accomplishment and you will feel ahead of the game and inspired for the rest of the day.

I hope I’ve made my point!

Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed it, let me know what do you think about it and don’t forget to like and share and do all those good stuff!.

Your’s truly,
