The speech that was never delivered!

It was just another boring day in college, and everything was going as usual until our juniors arrived at our class to welcome us for our Farewell party and that’s where it all began, these Homo Sapiens asked me to give a speech and I was like “Seriously guys? Me and speech, are you nuts?” but anyway I went ahead and accepted to give the speech, at the end of the day I had my speech ready and I was on cloud 9 and couldn’t wait to get embarrassed during my speech!.

And finally it was here, the time when I had to give the speech and for some reason I couldn’t be more excited for the lunch time, Man I couldn’t wait for free food!.

So, what happened to my speech that I was so prepared to get embarrassed. In the End, they decided to cancel my speech! It couldn’t get more embarrassing than this! (-_-).

That’s the reason why I’m posting my speech here.

I’m Batman,

Sometimes people call me Bharat Kulkarni (-_-)

The 3 years of journey has been a roller coaster ride, full of ups and downs but as the saying goes “What the hell is a life worth living, if it’s not on the edge!” and I couldn’t be much happier that this has finally come to an end and, I can’t wait to begin the next chapter of my life, A chapter where there will be no more assignments, No more Seminars, No journals and above all the freedom to grow my beard!.

Well, as all of you already know that our syllabus is outdated and I know most of you are bitching about it, how we being in the technical field, aren’t learning the latest and greatest, I completely agree with you on this one but talking about it out loud isn’t going to make any difference. Our Education System has to improve a lot, and you can’t do anything about it but the one thing you can do is to learn by yourself, you want to know more about the latest concept, Hell! go ahead nobody is stopping you from doing that, there are a ton of resources available on the Internet. So, Don’t wait for someone to spoon-feed you, Stop complaining and instead spend that energy and find a solution. “Don’t hope for completion of anything in life, Don’t Wait!”.

I was one of them who was so angry on the syllabus, but that didn’t stop me from learning, everyday I used to spend one hour to learn that new concept that wasn’t taught and that’s what you should also do, Instead of spending that time watching cat’s playing piano on the Internet it’s much better to invest in something else which will make you a better person than yesterday!.

“Tables turn, bridges burn, you live and learn.” The journey we embark teaches us a lot about the destination. But, you have to understand that journey is the destination, there’s never any making it, it’s all about the beautiful journey and we should just enjoy the ride, it may take you to places that you have never imagined but along the way you will find it, the dots will connect, you have to trust the journey. Let me tell you about the “Tarzan Principle” — “It’s about this idea of grabbing on to whatever’s in front of you and running with it, without having much understanding of where it’s going to lead you".

You are at one end and your dreams and goals are on the other end, the dotted line is the imaginary line, there’s never any straight path between you and your dreams.

The journey you embark on may take you in all these crazy directions, which is not the direct path to your dream, but if you look closer it’s taking you one step closer to your end goal, it might not be in a straight line but, it sure does take you closer and closer, the dots will eventually connect, you have to trust the journey.

A street poet and philosopher Drake once said “Oh well, I guess you lose some and win some, Long as the outcome is income, You know I want it all and then some” While the idea of material success does influence our life heavily, I ask you to follow your dreams and do what makes you happy, because the secret is finding something you love and keep doing it for the rest of your life. People strive to be the best version of your self, strive through the turbulence and live life because you are a warrior.

“Be phenomenal or be forgotten”
