Let’s talk about discipline!
In my last post, I talked about Motivation and why it doesn’t work and why it’s not what you need to succeed or that’s not what keeps you going.
So what is it that keeps you on the track? It’s Discipline and Focus, the two most underrated things in the world!.
Accomplishing your goals is not about motivation, it’s about discipline. — Motivation is fickle, motivation comes and goes. — Motivation is unreliable and when you’re counting on motivation to get your goals accomplished, you’re likely going to fall short. Don’t count on motivation, count on discipline! You know what you have to do, go make yourself do it.
Typically it’s motivation that gets us into something but that motivation tends to disappear. When it’s 20 degrees and snowing, it’s not motivation that gets you to the gym, it’s discipline.
Everybody wants some kind of magic pill or some life hack or something that eliminates the need to do the work. Well, I will tell you what.. You need to do the work. — You have to make it happen yourself. It’s not going to happen on its own. Find the discipline, be the discipline and accomplish the goals.
Success is the result of daily practice and incremental growth compounded over time. Success comes when you, work religiously every day and never quit!.
Reaching your Goal might take a lot of time, between the first day and till you reach it there will be days when you don’t feel motivated, but if you are disciplined enough you can get the work done no matter what!.
Discipline is one of the most important lessons they teach at Military training, It’s the discipline that keeps you on the track, Discipline is a concept everyone is aware of, but few truly understand. The most successful people in life exert discipline on a daily basis. It is vital to every living being and without it, the world around us would be chaos.
“Talent without discipline is like an octopus on roller skates. There’s plenty of movement, but you never know if it’s going to be forward, backward or sideways.”
Discipline is the fundamental aspect on which sports have been created. Every player must adhere to the rules of the game. This is why umpires and referees exist. Whoever does not follow these guidelines will be penalized for violating the rules of the sport. “Self-discipline is a form of freedom. Freedom from laziness and lethargy, freedom from the expectations and demands of others, freedom from weakness and fear — and doubt. Self-discipline allows a pitcher to feel his individuality, his inner strength, his talent. He is master of, rather than a slave to, his thoughts and emotions.”
“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.”
Discipline can be developed and strengthened, all you need to do is start something small and do it every day no matter what and you just keep doing it and everything will go smooth. It’s when you stop or take a break for a day everything fails, it’s hard to build that momentum again!.
Motivation is trendy and overrated, Discipline is a totally different idea, and if you aren’t careful the lack of discipline could really ruin your career.
That’s it for now, and I’m planning to make this “Let’s talk about” series. Let me know what you think about it.
Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed it, let me know what do you think about it and don’t forget to like and share and do all those good stuff!.
Your’s truly,
