How I met Honor 9 Lite

It was 29th Jan when my dear BlackBerry Stopped working.

I was devastated and thought that my whole life was over, I had my babe for about 3 years and It had to die someday and it happened and I couldn’t be much thankful, she was all with me during my tough and great times, Miss you BlackBerry.

After getting over with it, I knew it was time I had to get a new one and that’s when I started my hunt for a new smartphone, And after a whole lot of googling and youtubing, I finally decided that it’s going to be either Honor 9 lite or BlackBerry Priv 2, But sadly there isn’t anything such as BlackBerry Priv 2, so It was Honor 9 Lite who was going to spend her entire life with me and I was all into her, man she looked so beautiful and I couldn’t resist proposing her and the very next day on Jan 30th, 2018 I proposed her on Flipkart and she accepted it, I was on cloud 9, I couldn’t wait for her to arrive home and I thought even she couldn’t resist and on 31st she was with me and from that day on she is with me and I couldn’t be much happier.

Fast Forward 2 Months+, We both are happy with each other but there are certain things we fight on, but then hey then we human beings aren’t perfect either.

Here are the certain things we fight on (Ohh my god, she is going to be mad at me for writing all this)

• It was a sunny evening as usual during my tea break, I decided to watch some dope stuff on Youtube and suddenly a Homo Sapien decided to call me and waste my time, man he talked for like 15–20 mins and when he was finally done and I was back to my tea and Youtube, but guess what she (Phone) decided to close the youtube app and I had to reopen it again, RAM management in her OS is very aggressive, I was so frustrated by her actions but later we both agreed that it’s not her fault and hopefully in future updates this will be fixed, this aggressive RAM management stuff still keeps happening tho not everytime but sometimes, but we are still waiting for that day when this will be fixed.
• It was somewhere about a week ago from today my dear friend Mr.Bharat Bahadur asked me to Install PUBG (Players Unknown Battle Ground) and guess what she performed buttery smooth and I was all in cloud 9 again, the game is awesome and I could play it without any lag, but after a while into gaming when I closed the app guess what the battery dropped somewhere around 40% and I was back on ground from cloud 9 (Just like in happens in that game, where you have to jump from the plane) and again I was frustrated on the battery management, I know there are power saving and Ultra power saving modes which work really well but I wish it gave much better battery life, Later we both (me and phone) agreed that her battery is bit small, PUBG is a new game and there are bugs and performance improvements to be made and also some battery Optimization to the OS. I have to say for 3000mAh battery I get easily around 4–5hrs of screen on time on normal use, I hope they could have added a little bit more of battery or optimize it a bit.
• We both love taking Photos, man her camera packs a punch of great features and I couldn’t be more happy, but I do have some issues with the Rear Camera, whenever I switch to Potrain or Wide Aperature Mode the resolution drops to 8MP, but the same doesn’t happen with the front camera and I think that’s the reason why most people say front camera is better than than the rear even though both having the same hardware, hopefully this will be fixed in future update.

Now lets get on to the stuff we both enjoy

• I’m the kind of person who believes that devices we use day to day are not an extension but a part of us and they needed to be treated with respect and loved the same way we love yourselves, and my love for my devices since from the first Nokia to my Blackberry to my new Honor 9 Lite isn’t enough, as in the song “Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol” goes “Those three words are said too much, They’re not enough” and words cannot descibe my love for these things and I have to say this, she looks so beautiful that I can’t stop staring at her and the best part is when I see myself in her reflection, she is perfect in size with her curves to hold in my small hand and as the saying goes with great opportunity comes great resposnibilities, responsibility to take care of her as a baby because I can’t see her get hurt because of my carelessness.

• Let’s talk about the camera, I’m an Amateur Photographer, I love everything about the camera it takes some dope shots some of the things that I love are the Full Manual Control for both video and photo which is not available in most of the devices in this price range such as Redmi Note 5 Pro(I know it has a manual mode, but it’s not fully manual as you find it in Honor 9 Lite), and also Food mode, Light Paintaing these all takes it to the next level when it comes to photography, and Videography couldn’t be complete without Time lapse mode and pro video mode is a cherry on top but I do wish they update us with Slow-mo and AR lens, okay enough talk let the photos speak here are some of the shots taken by me (Instagram) and (personal Instagram)

• And Finally certain things like Wi-fi Bridge, Face Unlock, Histen Sound Effects etc to name a few are like cherry on top, the charging speed is overall good, it’s the best for the price you can get the only thing I wish it had more was battery life other than that she is awesome and i don’t have any regrets after having her in my life.

Conclusion — Our Relationship is the best, we are lucky and happy to have each other and that’s it!
